The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) provides an Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy (most recently updated in 2010) which leaves Counsellors and Psychotherapists in no doubt about what is unethical and what standards are expected of us. For further information, see the BACP web site: http://www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework/This Framework advocates a natural way of being for everyone, not just therapists. As a member of the BACP, I am bound to it in my model of working with clients and I have no problems with adhering to this or to my training institutes code of ethics which can be found here http://www.spti.net/training/codes.shtml.
